A 36-year old applicant, Kehinde Hammed, on Tuesday appeared at an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting at Ibadan, for alleged burglary and stealing.
Hammed, who resides at Ariori area, Idi – Aro area, Ibadan, is being charged with a two – count of breaking into dwelling house and stealing.
The Prosecuting Counsel, Insp Olufemi Omilana, told the court that Hammed on Nov. 12, at about 5:30 p.m. at Idi – Aro area, Ibadan, allegedly broke into the complainant, Olabisi Omole’s apartment.
Omilana alleged that the defedant stole one Itel A56 cell phone valued at N30,000 and N40,500 cash, amounting to N70, 500.
He said the offence contravened Sections 390 and 411 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
The defedant pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Munirat Giwa -Babalola, granted the defedant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Babalola adjourned the matter until Feb.1, 2023, for hearing.
