Plateau united urge Muslim faithful to pray for united, peaceful Nigeria
The Management of Plateau United FC of Jos has urged Muslim Ummah to pray for a united and peaceful Nigeria during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Mr Albert Dakup, the Media Officer of the club, gave the advice in a statement on Thursday in Jos.
Dakup, who congratulated their fans and other Muslim friends of the club for a successful ramadan, called on them to pray for the corporate existence of the Nigeria state.
“The management of Plateau united FC of Jos is rejoicing with its teeming supporters on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
“We wish to urge Muslim ummah to use the occasion and pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria as the nation is facing serious threats by the activities of insurgents, bandits and other criminal elements.
“Use the purity obtained during the ramadan fast to pray for the cooperate existence of Nigeria as a single entity where peace and love shall reign forever,” he urged.
Dakup called on the team’s teeming fans to pray for their success in the second round of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) to enable them to achieve their target for the season
