PL: Man Utd makes a decision regarding Ten Hag potential dismissal before matches against Porto and Aston Villa

Manchester United have decided to grant a stay of execution to manager, Erik ten Hag, amid calls for him to be sacked.

However, according to the UK Telegraph, the Dutchman is now under “intense scrutiny”.

Pressure is building on Ten Hag again following a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The result means United have failed to score in three of their last four Premier League games and now sit 12th in the table.

Ten Hag has delivered Carabao Cup and FA Cup triumphs across his two years at Old Trafford.

United sporting director Dan Ashworth, chief executive Omar Berrada, technical director Jason Wilcox and club board director Sir Dave Brailsford were all present at Old Trafford to watch the dire display against Spurs.

They remain supportive of Ten Hag for now, with no change in the dugout to be made ahead of crucial Europa League and Premier League fixtures against Porto and Aston Villa this week.

Those games will carry United into the next international break.
