PDP’s Evivie declared winner of Delta bye-election

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Evivie Ovuokporie has been declared winner of the Isoko South State constituency 1 in Delta State bye-election held on Saturday by the Independent National Electoral Commission has declared (INEC)

This result was declared by the returning Officer, Prof. Christopher Onosemuode, at the Constituency Collation Centre, Isoko South INEC LGA office.

The State House of Assembly seat became vacant following the death of Kenneth Ogba in June this year.

The bye-election was keenly contested by candidates of the PDP, Ovuokporie Evivie, who polled 6, 957 votes, Michael Emumena Paul, of SDP who had 1,291 votes and Dr Ogaga Ifowodo of APC who got 1,301 votes.
