PDP will bring Wike before a disciplinary committee for anti-party activities

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called former Rivers State Governor and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike to answer charges of anti-party activities.

PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi announced this on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, revealing that Wike has been summoned by the Tom Ikimi-led disciplinary committee established by the party’s National Working Committee. Abdullahi explained that this move follows the creation of reconciliation and disciplinary committees three weeks ago, with Wike being one of those facing disciplinary action for alleged sabotage and other infractions.

Abdullahi criticized Wike’s recent remarks about “stoking conflict” among PDP governors, calling them unacceptable and disappointing. He noted that Wike’s statements, particularly his threats to create political turmoil in states governed by PDP members, were inappropriate and have drawn criticism from within the party.

This announcement comes in response to Wike’s recent praise for his role in the Bola Tinubu administration and his provocative comments about party governance and internal dissent.
