The National Leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has tasked all aspiring candidates for both Executive and Legislative positions to work hard as the party is fully geared to ensure that they emerge victorious in the 2023 general elections.
The PDP National Secretary Sen. Samuel Anyanwu made the disclosure during a two days Workshop Organised for the 2023 candidates held at Abuja on Thursday.
Sen. Anyanwu who represented the National Chairman of the party,Dr. Christopher Iyorchia Ayu stressed the workshop is targeted at training their candidates for 2023 Elections as the campaign has started to Strategizes in ensuring Victory.
He emphasized that the theme of the Programme ‘Leadership Dynamics for Winning Elections in Nigeria’ is carefully selected to guide our candidates in their politicking.
” We want to assure all candidates that our party is ready to see them through to Victory in the Elections next year and we are Organizing this workshop for them to get prepared for the Election ahead.
” The training is will a framework to lead our candidates to discharge their capabilities in winning in their various states and federal levels.
“We showing other parties that PDP is well equipped and have the best crop of Politicians to take this country to greater heights.
One of the Candidates, Dr. Rabiu Shuaibu House Representative for Machina/Nguru/ Yusufari/Karasuwa Yobe State stressed that the PDP has been winning elections in the state since 1999 but because of massive rigging by the opposition APC the Election is being manipulated.
According to him Yobe indigenes have been in unfortunate situations for number of years therefore they are launching a political revolution in the common interest of their people.
He said ” We are happy that President Buhari has done it for us through the new electoral laws people will feel different perception on the strength of PDP in Yobe State.
” This time around is going to be a different ball game not business as usual. I’m telling you that whoever joins APC is just like boarding a sinking ship as the captain is already sinking.
Dr. Shuaibu revealed that the workshop is timely reflection with formidable teamwork they are convinced and determined that PDP will win most seats in the 2023 General Elections.
