…Renews love for Ndi-Igbo, commitment to group

It was a delight to behold on Saturday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, when one of the Trustees (patrons) of the Igbo Journalists Forum (IJOF), Engr (Mrs) Munachimso Ebere-Okoye, received the newly elected Executive of the association, reassuring of her commitment and love to the affairs of the group and Ndi-Igbo in general.
According to her, “I love everything about the IJOF and Ndi-Igbo in general. There is nothing about the Igbos I don’t participate. As long as there is life, I will continue to support you and the cause of the Igbos generally.”
The thoroughbred Ada-Ndi-Igbo, who spoke in Igbo Language, said she wishes to be physically present in 2022 end of the year activity of the Association billed for November,18,but for her job schedule.
She, however, said that as the days progress and coast gets clearer, she will see the possibility of attending the grand finale of this year’s IJOF end of the year activity.
The Patron pledged to support the event with 10 per cent of its budget, pending what transpires thereafter.
The IJF President, Mr Isaac Mbah had earlier intimated their host with the details of the forthcoming Association’s end of the year activities.
He used the opportunity to brief the Igbo-Ambassador of the successful conduct of the recent IJOF election that returned him, the Vice President, Comrade Barth Ndubuwah and Mrs Chidi Sam-Walson unopposed, plus other new members of the Executive, such as Mr Jude Nzennaya (Secretary), Mr Bright Okere, Blaise Tochukwu Elumezie and Ms MaryJane Okafor (Financial Secretary).
Speaker after Speaker, members of the new Executive took time out to extol the sterling qualities of Manuchimso, as a committed Patron of IJOF and true Ambassador of Ndi-Igbo, urging her to sustain the tempo.
The highlight of the visit was a tour of the mini-garden of their host by the delegates, while Engr. Manuchimso took time to explain the efficacies of some of the plants in her garden to the administration of the visitors.
