Patrice Evra identifies what’ll cost Arsenal title
Former Manchester United assistant vice-captain, Patrice Evra, has claimed that Arsenal’s lack of squad depth will affect their Premier League title chances this season.
According to Evra, Arsenal don’t have a substitute bench, adding that they will have to buy more players in the January transfer window if they want to challenge for the Premier League title.
Arsenal are presently on top of the Premier League table with 27 points from 10 games/
Speaking to Amazon Prime Sport, Evra, who gave credit to Mikel Arteta’s side, also warned the Gunners that the Premier League is not a sprint but a marathon.
Evra said, “I say to people that I give so much credit to the Arsenal team. The league is not a sprint, it’s a marathon.
“My worry is that they don’t have the bench. I hope, in January, that they are going to buy more players… if you want to challenge for the league.”
