Pastor declared wanted by Police
The Nigeria Police has declared pastor Olarewaju Abayomi Olusoga wanted for allegedly practicing homosexuality in his church premises.
Homosexuality is an attraction between people who are of the same sex. It is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by 14 years imprisonment.
According to a statement by the Police, Pastor Olarewaju Abayomi Olusoga was caught with some homosexual members practicing homesexuality by the people of the community on 13th November 2023.
They however fled the scene of the incident and members of the public are informed by this information to report their whereabouts.
“We have carried out a thorough investigation on this criminal act and we found it to be true. Sadly in an attempt to apprehend them, Pastor Olarewaju Abayomi olusoja and his homosexual members escaped after his church and house was set ablaze by unknown people.
“Anyone with any useful information about his whereabouts should kindly contact the nearest police station as various attempts to arrest and prosecute them have proven abortive,” the statement read.
