OYO SUBEB: Teachers attest to credibility of CBT for recruitment

The Association of Primary School Head-teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), Oyo State Chapter, has attested to the credibility of the recently-conducted Computer-Based Test (CBT) for applicants for teaching jobs in the state.

The State Chairman of AOPSHON, Mr Adekunle Adedeji, stated this in a statement issued in Ibadan on Friday.

According to him, the association is happy with the credibility of the examination as the whole exercise went on very smoothly without any incident throughout the period of the exercise.

“The executive of the association was on ground to monitor the examination at the Distance Learning Centre, Ajibode, Ibadan, during the conduct of the CBT.

“We can attest that the whole exercise was seamless because there wasn’t any challenge whatsoever.

“We, therefore, commend the management of OYO State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) for the successful conduct of the examination, one of the processes for recruiting qualified primary school teachers,” the chairman said.

He equally appreciated the Oyo State Government for the ongoing workshop for retiring head-teachers.

He noted that the workshop would assist them to prepare for life after retirement.

The OYO SUBEB, between July 22 and July 26, organised CBT for 50,097 applicants for teaching appointments with the state government.

The results of the examination have been released and successful candidates are now waiting to be invited for oral interview.
