Oyo SUBEB boss, Adeniran, bags National Productivity Award

National Productivity Centre (NPC) has conferred the National Productivity Merit Award on the Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Nureni Adeniran.

The award, according to NPC, is in recognition of Adeniran’s hard work, excellent duties and productivity as SUBEB chairman.

The centre, under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, conferred the award on Adeniran alongside some other individuals and organisations, in Abuja.

A statement made available to Nigerian NewsDirect in Ibadan on Tuesday by Adeniran’s Media Aide said that the event was held to commemorate this year’s National Productivity Day and Conferment of National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award.

The Director-General, NPC, Dr Kashim Akor, urged the awardees to redouble their efforts towards moving the country to the path of growth and development.

He also said the award was in recognition of the awardees’ contributions to efficient public service delivery and selfless service to the nation.

Speaking after receiving the award, Adeniran dedicated the award to Oyo State Governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, for providing his board with an enabling environment to operate and perform optimally.

Adeniran also thanked the staff members and management of SUBEB, saying that without them, the feat would not have been achieved.

He promised that the award would spur him and the board to do better for the state and the country.

Adeniran also urged civil and public servants not to relent in contributing their quota to the development of Nigeria, through effective service delivery.

He promised state government’s commitment to driving critical government policies and projects that would elevate the basic education sub-sector in the state.

The national productivity award is one of the federal government’s flagship points to reward excellence in the service, with the aim of promoting healthy competition among workers.
