Oyo LG Chairman, driver kidnapped, demand N200m Ransom

The chairman of Iganna local council development area of Oyo State, Comrade Jacob Olayiwola Adeleke along with his driver, has been kidnapped

This was confirmed on Monday and according to sources, said he was kidnapped alongside his driver Sunday along Okeho-Ado Awaye on his way to Ibadan for a meeting scheduled with Governor Seyi Makinde on Monday at the House of Chiefs in Ibadan.

The suspected kidnappers were reported to have demanded for N200m ransom to secure their release.

His vehicle was, however, intercepted by unknown hoodlums and the two were whisked away.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, said,

“Information reaching me reveals that he was kidnapped along Ado Awaye- Iseyin Road.

“Effort’s intensified to get him released and arrest the culprits please.”
