The Rentals Association of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter has inaugurated Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as its life patron.

This is even as the Blacksmith Welders and Iron Benders Association of Nigeria eulogized him for his all-inclusive governace which has made them have their voice represented in state administration.

The award was conferred on the governor during the association’s Grand Patron, Merit Award and Commendation Certificates Presentation Ceremony held at Owoeba Area, Ilesa Road, Osogbo.

The association under the chairmanship of Alh. Safiriyu Akanfe gave the award of honour to Governor Oyetola in recognition of his distinguished service and commitment to the development of the association and the state at large.

They also described the award as a deserving one which was a special commendation for the governor’s selfless service to the entire humanity.

Earlier at their monthly meeting, the Osun State Blacksmith Welders and Iron Benders Association had described the administration of Oyetola as participatory which gives leverage for people across all spheres of life to have their interests and opinions well represented.

The association through its state chairman, Deacon Sunday Obidokun, said the transparent and democratic leadership style of Oyetola which endears him to the people, has not only given them a sense of belonging as an association but also engendered sociopolitical and economic stability in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the governor at the separate events, Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye said Oyetola’s administration would continue to place premium on the needs and aspirations of the people especially in the process of policy formulation, emphasising that Oyetola is commitment to engendering democratic ideals in the state.

While reacting to award bestowed on the governor, Oyintiloye noted that the award is a testament to the fact that the government of Oyetola is people oriented, saying it will also serve as a spur that will catalyze the interest of the governor to do more of the people’s general wellbeing.

He however, used the medium to sensitize the people of voting age on the essence of participating in the ongoing INEC continuous voter registration, reiterating that the registration is the only means for people to exercise their inalienable right of determining whosoever that would be entrusted with the political power to govern them, while canvassing for more supports for the All Progressives Congress in a bid to sustain the pace of development in all sectors of economy.
