Oyetola, four ex-governors make Tinubu’s supplementary ministerial list

Former Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and four former governors have been included in the supplementary list of President Bola Tinubu’s batch of ministerial nominees sent to the Senate on Wednesday.

In the 19 nominees unveiled by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on the floor of the chamber on Wednesday are Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Bello Muhammad of Zamfara, Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun, Ibrahim Geidam of Gombe, and Simon Lalong of Plateau States.

The 19 nominees, who would be screened on Friday, August 4, are, Ahmed Gwazo, Bosun Tijani, Dr Mariam Sheti, Isiak Salako,Tunji Alausa,Yusuf Tango ,Adegboyega Oyetola,Atiku Bagudu,Bello Muhammad,Ibrahim Geidam,Simon Lalong,Lola John,Shuaibu Audu,Taheer Maman,Sen. Aliyu Abdullahi,Sen. Heineken Lopobiri,Sen. Alkali Saheed,Ubah Ahmadu and Zephaniah Jisalo.

Earlier, President Bola Tinubu last week Thursday announced a list of 28 nominees for cabinet positions. The names of the 28 nominees were sent to the Senate for approval on Thursday, two days before the deadline.

The list included former governors, economists, finance experts, health experts, lawyers and existing cabinet members of Tinubu who took office on 29 May.

Among them were former Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike, ex-Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi, and Presidential spokesperson Dele Alake
