Oyetola approves construction of Ife stadium, renovation of others

Osun State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola has approved the renovation of Oja Tuntun in Ile Ife that was recently engulfed by fire, reconstruction of about 2.4km Iloro – Aganun – Division C Police HQ Ile Ife and the construction of the new mini-stadium in Ile Ife.
This was made known by the Commissioner for Works and Transports, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye who led a government delegate on a royal courtesy visit to the palace of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife on Wednesday.
During the visit, Omowaiye Oluremi explained to the royal father that Ile Ife is very paramount to the governor and that is why His Excellency has mandated that works should commence on the aforementioned projects immediately.
“Ile Ife being the cradle of the Yoruba race must be given maximum attention and as such the reconstruction of the 2.4km Iloro road will commence immediately,” he said.
Omowaiye further stated that the governor has mandated that the road must be completed within the next six months while Oja tutun will be renovated in line with other projects in Ile Ife.
Engr. Omowaiye used the opportunity to inform the royal father that other projects embarked upon by this administration in other sub-hub of Ile Ife have been completed and ready for commissioning.
In his response, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi expressed his happiness about the governor’s developmental plans to take Osun to greater heights.
Ooni implored the delegates to make sure the projects start as promised and are completed in record time.
He pleaded with them to work with the governor with all their hearts in sincerity and not a double standard.
The Ooni prayed to God to continue to guide, protect and direct Governor Oyetola as he paddles the affairs of the State.
