Flood has taken over Gamayin communities in kafin Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
One of the communities spokes person Malam Ibrahim Musa Gamayin said all moulded houses were confirmed destroyed by water, with the density put at seventy to eighty per cent in the town.
There was no loss of life but property worth millions of naira have been washed away by water, while several farm lands have been submerged.
Gamayin confirmed that many families are now taking refuge at private buildings where water have not taken over, situated on high hill.
Malam Ibrahim said many people sleep under shed. Apart from the local government’s support, only two bags of gari were given to the victims.
He therefore called on the Jigawa State Government to come to their aids lamenting that people in that communities are seriously suffering due to poor condition they were in.
The Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Namadi while contacted on phone sympathized with the victims assuring to assist the affected communities.
