Telecommunications company, 9mobile has assured customers that the company’s ongoing investments in network upgrades and service expansion would soon result in significant improvements in connectivity and service quality.
This is as the company also refuted rumours suggesting an alleged shutdown of its operations in Nigeria.
The company described these claims as “entirely baseless” and aimed at spreading unnecessary panic among subscribers.
In a statement issued by its management over the weekend, the telecom operator reassured customers of its commitment to providing reliable services while acknowledging recent technical challenges, particularly with Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
The MNP service, which allows customers to switch networks seamlessly, experienced disruptions recently prompting widespread reactions.
However, the company clarified in a statement that it has never restricted users from porting.
“The MNP issues have largely been resolved, though some minor delays may persist due to ongoing system optimizations,” The company stated.
The network provider further addressed the temporary service disruptions experienced by customers in various locations, attributing them to a broader effort to modernize its network infrastructure.
“We sincerely appreciate the patience and loyalty of our subscribers during this transition,” the statement read. “While challenges exist, we are making significant progress and are confident that brighter days are ahead.”
