Otunba Fimogboye lauds Dapo Abiodun at 61st, seeks govt intervention in Ikenne Remo
The Otunba Fimogboye of Ikenne Remo land, Alhaji Architect Awoyemi Yusuf Adeola, has eulogized the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun on his 61st birthday.
He requested of the present administration on developmental projects affected in Ikenne Remo.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Nigerian NewsDirect, Otunba Fimogboye said, the Governor’s birthday and the 10th year celebration of Alakenne ascendance to his forefather’s throne is a remarkable events that marks good thing.
According to him, “It was a great coincidence as the Governor was here to celebrate his 61th birthday and the 10th anniversary of HRH Oba Adeyinka Onakade the Alakene of Ikenne with us.
“It will have been a tremendous event if he (governor) had been here.”
Airing his views on the level of development experience in the last 10years of Alakenne reign, the referred Chief noted, that great things had been done but development is gradual and it is one step at a time.
He said, “Development is a gradual thing, not sudden. I mean one after the other, for instance.
“HRH has able to re-model the old Town Hall at Alakenne Palace, although a lot still needs to be done at the palace.
“We hope to see our amiable Governor soon for ground breaking and commissioning of various developmental projects at Ikenne.”
“We (Awa Ikenne), Remo Township and the entire Ogun state need development from his administration.
“I wish our amiable Governor happy birthday, long life and prosperity,” “he said.
