Osuntokun optimistic of Obi, LP winning election

The Director General of Labour Party Presidential Campaign Committee, Akin Osuntokun has expressed confidence that the candidate of the party, Peter Obi will emerge the winner of the presidential election.

Osuntokun was speaking in Ile-Ife, Osun State shortly after a Town Hall meeting of the party with students of higher institutions of learning in the ancient town.

He said all indicators particularly, on-line polls conducted by different organisations have shown that Obi will win the election.

The Labour Party PCC DG regretted that the presidential candidate himself could not make it to the Town Hall meeting owing to bad weather conditions, saying Mr Obi would have loved to speak one on one to the students and thereafter the traditional rulers hosted by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi in his palace.

At the Town Hall meeting, some youths who were fans of the Labour Party’s candidate as well as the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Osun State, Goke Omigbodun engaged the youths on why Mr Peter Obi should be their choice come next Saturday presidential election.
