Osun State Government is ever ready to leave no stone unturned in order to get the desirable development goals in education sectors, especially at basic education levels.
The Executive Chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa stated this during the distribution of motorcycles to Quality Assurance Officers at SUBEB Ware House Conference Hall in Osogbo.
Hon. Famurewa said the distribution of the motorcycles is very important for quality education delivery system for public schools in the State.
The SUBEB Boss said that the good gesture by the Oyetola’s administration and Universal Basic Education Commission, Abuja, will help in easing the quality assurance officers’ movement in discharging their duty diligently, thereby yielding positive results in the state educational delivery system.
The Chairman therefore enjoined all the beneficiaries to continue to see government property as theirs, while charging them to imbibe maintenance culture that will allow the motorcycles to meet the test of time, and that the purpose for which the distribution was made would not be frustrated.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Osun SUBEB Executive Secretary, Mr Adeoye Bakare had eulogised the state government, under the leadership of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the Universal Basic Education Commission, Abuja, for the provision of the motorcycles, saying that the good gesture will go a long way in helping the Quality Assurance Officers to perform their duties.
Mr Bakare however advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the motorcycle, maintaining that the growth and development of quality education delivery in the state must be a concerted effort of all and sundry.
The SUBEB scribe therefore called on all education officers across the state to make judicious use of all government schools property, including instructional materials in their various jurisdictions, saying that keeping them in the store without adequate utilisation is negating the good intention of the state government at providing quality education for the future generation.
Highlight of the event was the distribution of motorcycles and handing over of keys to 15 Local Government Education Authority Quality Assurance Officers by the State Executive Chairman of SUBEB.
