Osun SSG wife rallies support for Oyetola’s re-election
Wife to the Secretary to State Governor in Osun, Mrs Abosede Oyebamiji has called on all the women leaders in Egbedore Local Government to work assiduously towards actualising the second term bid of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
Mrs Oyebamiji, who made the call in Iwoye during a meeting with Women Leaders, Assistant Women Leaders and wives of all political office holders in Egbedore Local Government area, vowed that she is resolute in her resolve to collaborate with them to make the dream a reality.
Mrs Oyebamiji reiterated that Governor Oyetola and his wife, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola deserve continuity in office because of their monumental achievements in office hitherto.
She maintained that women, children and youths have benefited the most from the Governor Oyetola led administration in all ramifications.
She, however, used the occasion to not only urge participants to obtain their voters cards, but also mobilize the womenfolk in the constituency to do so, without compromising house to house trumpeting of the good works of the State helmsman.
According to her, “The purpose of our meeting is to create political awarerness and consciousness for our people in Egbedore Local Government.
“Women are the mothers of the nation and the closest to the grassroot.
“I assure you that the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola will continue to develop the state and cater for the progress and future of women and children.”
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Governor Oyetola on Women and Children’s Affairs, Mrs Toyin Araoye, who is equally from Egbedore Local Government said the administration of Governor Oyetola should be applauded and supported for his re-election bid for his efforts to put an end to every form of women victimisation or abuse of girl child in the state.
Mrs Araoye advised women to report any act of victimisation against women to the Ministry of Women/Children Affairs for appropriate action.
In their separate remarks, the women leaders in the LGA expressed their readiness to work for the re-election of Oyetola.
