Osun Speaker, Egbedun congratulates  Federal lawmakers, calls for collaboration

Osun State House of Assembly Speaker,  Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has congratulated National Assembly members from Osun State on the occasion of their inauguration as the members of 10th National Assembly.

Former Minister of Niger Delta,  Senator Godswill Akpabio emerged as the Senate President of the 10th Senate while, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas became the Speaker of the House of Representatives after defeated his opponents: outgoing Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase, and Sani Jaji.

In a statement signed by the Speaker and made available to journalists on Tuesday, he said “it gives me great pleasure to congratulate you all on your inauguration as Members of the National Assembly. Your inauguration is the commencement of a Legislative journey that we are sure will have positive impact on the growth and development of our Nation and Osun State in particular.

“I am happier because all of you Members of the National Assembly from our dear State, are Members of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, and will therefore bring the pro-people manifesto of the party to bear in the discharge of your duties as Representatives of our people.

“I have also had personal interactions with you and I am convinced in the vision and love for people that you all possess and I am thus convinced that our people sent the best Representatives to the National Assembly and will soon begin to reap bountiful dividends.”

Calling for collaboration between Members of the National Assembly and the Osun State House of Assembly, Egbedun stated that, “the people of Osun State can benefit immensely from smooth collaboration between you as Federal Legislators and State Legislators, to push for legislation that will better the lots of our beloved people. Such collaborations will see us share ideas and drive developmental agenda together, for the realization of our shared developmental objectives.

“Once again, I congratulate you and wish you a successful tenure of office, as I look forward smooth interactions with you in the future,” he added.
