Osun: Police nab 40-year-old man for robbery, vehicle recovered

A 40-year-old man, Oladipupo Muruf has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly stealing a vehicle.

The black lexus 330 Jeep was stolen from one Igwe Odinaka at Obosi in Idenmiri South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Kehinde Longe confirmed that the suspect was arrested with the car in Ilesa.

Longe said the owner of the vehicle was shot in the stomach when his car was stolen from him.

He said the suspect was apprehended upon credible intelligence received that the vehicle was seen along Ijebu-Jesa road.

“The policemen attached to ‘A’ Division, Ilesa on patrol intercepted the vehicle driven by Oladipupo.

“The suspect was arrested and the vehicle recovered to the station for further investigation. The suspects will be charged to court immediately the investigation is completed,” he said.
