Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola has been commended by the management and staff of the Osun Pilgrims Welfare Board for his prompt interventions and support to the smooth running of the Board since the assumption of office.
The Board also lauded the government for taking the welfare and general well-being of the citizens as priority most importantly the pilgrims from the state.
In a statement by the Ameer Hajj, Sheikh Moruf Ishola, through the Board’s Administrative Secretary, Mr Bolaji Sanni, attributed the successful completion and hitch-free Hajj exercise recorded by the Board to immense contributions and timely response from the State Government.
According to him, the earlier completion of this year’s Hajj exercise, and return of the Osun registered pilgrims to Nigeria from Saudi Arabia was as a result of the support received from the State Government.
“There’s no amount of appreciation that can quantify the tremendous supports received from the State Government as this has in no measure culminated to the successes we have recorded so far as a Board.
“It is on record that our state has been consistently acknowledged and commended for its outstanding performance and peaceful conducts during and after the Hajj exercise year-in-year-out and this credit goes to the government under which the Board is being supervised.
“We are therefore appreciative of the numerous supports of Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, his Government and indeed, the good people of the state and beyond for their confidence in us as we promise to continue to champion the objectives setting up the Board before, during and after yearly Hajj exercise,”the statement reads in part.
The Board however announced the mode of payments and other pre-Hajj activities for the Year 2023 Hajj exercise just as it urged intending pilgrims and sponsors to reach out to the Board for any information as regards next year Hajj exercise.
