Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has been charged not to relax, but work harder and further raise the bar of good governance which he had set in the state.
Oba Agunsoye, the Elegboro of Ijebu-jesha, said this at a meeting with Informal Groups and Farmers organised by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Civic Engagement, held at Ijebu-jesha, Osun state.
The royal father who spoke on behalf of his colleagues at the meeting, acknowledged several projects executed by the current administration in Oriade local government area, especially the facelift given to health care facilities in the area.
The monarch who is also the president of Oriade Local Government Traditional Council, however, called on the governor to rehabilitate more rural roads and make available more empowerment initiatives for the people in the area.
“Oyetola has brought sanctity and ‘new normal’ to the state governance as people driven polices and programs as well as democratic ideals are holding sway. He is indeed a God-sent leader.
“We urge the governor not to derail on his path of taking Osun to a greater height. He has done well, but he needs to work hard and further raise the high standard he has set for himself.
“We pleaded with him to consider the entire Oriade for more value added benefits such as rehabilitation of additional community roads, giving face lift to more health centres, provision of more empowerment programs for the people among others.
“His achievements within two years in office are amazing for he’s using his expertise in financial engineering and administrative management to maximize the state meagre resources to achieve the unexpected in the areas of health, education, security, commerce and human welfare among others.
“This is also inclusive of the series of efforts his administration is putting in place to continually engage people on areas of governance which undoubtedly shows a sincerity of purpose and as far from normal way of playing politics,” Oba Agunsoye said.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman Community Development Council, Alh. Kayode Sulaimon and NATA Charman, Mr. Simeon Olatunbosun on behalf of all groups, appreciated Governor Oyetola for his impactful leadership in the state governance as well his efforts in rehabilitating their rural roads through the institution of Osun Rural Access Mobility Project (ORAMP) which are unprecedented in their area.
They equally, beseeched the government to intervene in some other rural roads in the community and to make provision for more benefits which could make their businesses grow as well make life better for them.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, who represented the governor at the event, reechoed the passion of Oyetola to foster an all-inclusive administration where the people can really be a great factor of consideration in the general affairs of the state.
