Osun govt would complete 13.6 km of roads in Ile-Ife within six-months – SA Education

The Special Adviser on Education to Gov. Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun, Mr Jamiu Olawumi, has said that the current administration in the State would complete all 13.6-kilometre road projects in the ancient city of Ile-Ife within six months.

Olawumi gave this assurance during an interview with the Newsmen on Wednesday, in Ile-Ife.

According to him, the present administration has been so unique in adding value in all ramifications to the lives of the indigenes by undertaking massive roads construction and rehabilitation.

The Special Adviser explained further that Gov. Oyetola has engaged in several meaningful infrastructures and economic endeavours to achieve the economic transformation and equitable development of major towns and villages.

Olawumi added that Oyetola has brought much development to the cradle of Yoruba race by constructing and rehabilitating roads, and constructed and equipped 332 maternity centres.

“To be candid, the governor has displayed good character by boosting commerce, offering food to 30,000 vulnerable people over nine months across the state, among others,” he stated.

The special adviser urged the people of Ile-lfe to always appreciate the governor by supporting him in all ramifications, saying this would make him strive for more growth and development in the ancient city of Ile-Ife.

On the welfare of orkers in the state, he said Oyetola had paid over N40 million as workers’ salaries and emoluments and to other other appointees.
