Osun Govt lauded on basic education

Members of the House of Representatives Committee on Basic Education have eulogised the Oyetola-led administration on the promotion of basic education in the state.
Speaking, the Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives committee on basic education, Hon. Usman Zanna (APC Borno state) expressed delight over the standard and quality of projects met on ground in the area of basic education.
Zanna, the leader of the delegation to Osun State on a visit to inspect and assess the level of utilisation of federal governments matching grants, stated that the provision of infrastructure and instructional materials alongside training cum capacity building for teachers have, in no measure, helped in the provision of quality and standard education.
He said his committee was amazed about the various school projects they met on the ground during their inspection of schools in both urban and rural areas.
In his remarks, Osun State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola appreciated the members of the Federal House of Assembly and UBEC House committee.
Oyetola lauded their support in the provision of what it takes to enjoy good and standard education in the State.
He, however, implored UBEC not to relent on its efforts, especially on accessibility to funds such that States in Nigeria will continue to do more in the education sector.
In his speech, the Executive Chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, on behalf of the board members and Executive Secretary, Mr Adeoye Bakare appreciated the State governor for the opportunity to serve, also thanking the team.
