Osun: Cultists kill 35-year-old man

Following a supremacy gun battle between rival cult groups, a 35-year-old man, Babalola Lekan has been shot dead in Osun State.

The deceased was reportedly shot dead on Friday at Asoje area in Osogbo, the state capital of Osun.

The police Public Relations Officer in Osun State, Yemisi Opalola who confirmed the incident said the remains of the deceased have been deposited in the mortuary.

She assured that the police have been deployed to investigate the incidence.

“The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital mortuary, Osogbo.

“Meanwhile, the police is on the trail of the cultists,” Opalola said.
