Osun broadcaster, one other die in auto crash

A popular broadcast journalist in Osun State, Sunday Alakinde, as well as one other were confirmed dead in an auto accident which occurred along Ilesa-Ife route, Ilesa, Osun State.

Alakinde, a broadcaster who was working with a private radio station, Uniq FM, Ilesa in Osun State and one other lost their lives in a fatal car accident that occurred around 3.05 a.m.

The accident involved two vehicles; Yutong Luxurious Bus with registration number LND 322 XY and Peugeot 406 with registration number SMK 312 GQ.

It was gathered that the accident involved 54 persons, 34 males and 20 females.

The spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Osun State, Agnes Ogungbemi, who confirmed the story disclosed that two persons died while one female was injured.

According to her, “The injured victim was taken to Wesley Hospital for medical treatment while the Corpse have been deposited at the same hospital Morgue.”
