Osun APC to Adeleke: U’re the Architect of your Political Waterloo
….says no nexus between justice, sentiment
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned Governor Ademola Adeleke to stop blaming his predecessor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, for his misfortune as he(Adeleke) is the architect of his imminent political woes that is knocking.
The party also said that contrary to the PDP’s claim, it was Adeleke and his siblings who reached out to a retired judge from Kwara State over the Tribunal but which did not yield any positive result, insisting their allegation against Oyetola was borne out of frustration.
It would be recalled that Adeleke spewed copious allegations against Oyetola at the Osun Central District campaign of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), yesterday.
In his response, the state Acting State Chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, said it was unthinkable and misplaced for the drowning Osun PDP Governor Adeleke to be holding Oyetola responsible for his numerous challenges in life.
Lawal told Adeleke to be ready to face the consequences of his actions and inactions as the leg of the metaphorical dead body that he thought he had successfully buried without the knowledge of the public is now in the open glare of all and sundry.
The Acting State APC chairman said there was no basis for Adeleke and the PDP to whip up sentiment because there is no hiding place for them.
He asked Adeleke if Oyetola was the one who asked him to waste the quality part of his life dancing, wining and dining when he had the rear opportunity to read for qualitative education in the United States of America?
Lawal equally asked Adeleke if it was Oyetola who told him to submit bleached credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the governorship tribunal in order to cover up his inadequacies?
He also asked Adeleke if it was Oyetola who directed him to submit to the INEC a contentious 1988 WASC statement of result bearing Ede Muslim Grammar School, Osun, at a time when the State had not been created?
Was it Oyetola that told Adeleke not to submit any evidence not to controvert the case made by the APC governorship candidate that Adeleke was not at the time of the election qualified to contest the election?
Is it Oyetola that is behind the challenges over Adeleke’s issues concerning the authenticity of his WASC statement of result, testimonial and letter of attestation that he submitted for the governorship post?
Was it Oyetola who was responsible for the failure of Adeleke to tender the pleaded evaluation report of the Federal Ministry of Education which has constituted a fatal omission on the part of INEC?
Was it Oyetola who was also responsible for the submission of the forged letter of attestation in Adeleke’s possession which does not state the number of years he spent in school, the subjects that he studied and the level of education that he attained?
It would also be of interest to know if it was Oyetola or the APC which propelled one Bunmi Jenyo under cross examination to confess to the tribunal that Osun State was created in 1991 and that the testimonial in the Exhibit File D purportedly issued by Ede Muslim Grammar School in 1988 is a fake document?
Was it Oyetola who recommended that Adeleke as a governor in his sixties should be under an intensive care of his sister and a figurehead Chief of Staff( CoS) who is merely performing the roles of a chaperon in order to fill in a gap of a missing quality in the governor?
The earlier the Osun PDP and the Adeleke handlers realize that there’s no nexus between sentiment and justice, the better it will be for them as the heavens would not fall if justice is made to take its cause under any circumstances.
