Osun APC in mind: If only we are conscious of one’s good deeds

By Rotimi Makinde

It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed. No one has ever become somebody without somebody. That is the principle of life. In one of the popular quote of late Nelson Mandala he stated this.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”That is the simple truth about life…

Pope Francis on his own summarised the same thing in his own words when he said: “Each of us has a vision of good and of evil. We have to encourage people to move towards what they think is good… Everyone has his own idea of good and evil and must choose to follow the good and fight evil as he conceives them. That would be enough to make the world a better place…”

All of these are just those things I don’t understand about unnecessary crisis and vituperation as it relates to the happenings in Osun APC. Is it that there were no good deeds done to each other to warrant all these infighting with eyes closed. In all ramifications, the principals have enjoyed grace of God and grace of men.The lieutenants in both sides have equally crossed each other to deserve no throat cutting. Both champions should ordinarily by now feel grateful to their creator and feel fulfilled to remember they came into this life empty, and today they are fulfilled as politicians…

Only in moving forward lies in our gratefulness to God and the good deed of the past.

For clear purposes of understanding about how people’s good deeds affect day to day life. The return of progressive party in the running of Osun State politics can not be complete without a mention of  unprecedented role of Asiwaju  Bola Ahmed Tinubu , so we cannot afford not to celebrate the dignified role of this great man  Tinubu. The point of reference here is the good role these two Excellencies enjoyed as destinies connected them long before the liberation of Osun state from the grips of today’s opposition.

Two wrongs actually don’t make a right, but don’t three lefts also make a right…

As an individual I expect to pass through life but once. I recognise the  impact of some individual in my life,  I never lost sight or focus that I am being propelled by destiny but helped by some men and some individual that continue to places moral obligation on me. Good or bad but the good I must remember, the bad I  must overlook or forget… The good deed done on us must placed moral obligation to make us have spirit of sportsmanship, forgiveness in the heat of any provocation. We must all remember our roots to stardom and continue to respect that timber or pillar that made us the point of reference any time and any day. If therefore, there be any kindness we can show, or any good thing we can do to any fellow being, or any tolerance let’s do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as our life shall not pass this way again. There’s nothing in this life.

What is in life, what is in malice, what exactly is in power tussles if it makes us lose focus on the good deeds done on us by people that matter in our sojourn in life. Good deed has no other colouration apart from reciprocation of good deed.

Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue… Peace and success we deserve in Osun State as we approach 2022 which shall decide how grateful we are to our history. It honestly requires plenty of courage to stand firm and be guided by good deeds enjoyed in the past and to let the most pained among us to review stands in any matter and to think deeply and remember the good deed of the past.

How exactly do we intend to pay back our creator and by extension, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the good deeds for both the party and for men and woman who engage in battle for no cogent reason but egos?
