Osun APC affirms Lawal as state chairman

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State has affirmed Tajudeen Lawal as the substantive Chairman of the party in the state.

Lawal’s affirmation as Chairman was taken at a resolution at a special session of the State Executive Committee meeting of the party in Osogbo on Monday.

According to a statement made available by the Osun APC Publicity Secretary, Wole Adunola, the session had in attendance local party chairmen of the party across the state and members of the State Working Committee.

According to the statement, “Tajudeen Lawal has led the party excellently well since he assumed office, hence the justification of the resolution to confirm him as substantive chairman of the party.

“Lawal has ensured that the party’s structures are intact across all the local governments, wards and units in the state.

“The Chairman has brought to the table his sound party administration of many decades and grassroots mobilisation skill, which has begun to galvanize the party’s strength in the state.

“It would be recalled that since the official announcement and installation of the former chairman of the party now Owa of Igbajo, Oba Gboyega Famodun, the position of the state helmsman of the party has been vacant while SookoTajudeen has been in acting capacity before today’s resolution.”

Adunola noted that part of the resolution reached at the meeting was the recognition of the leadership direction of Bisi Akande and the immediate past governor, Adegboyega Oyetola and the elders council of the party in the state.
