Osun: Adeleke mourns South West PDP Chairman, Adagunodo  

Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun has expressed shock at the news of the death of South West Chairman of the PDP, Mr Soji Adagunodo.

Adeleke described Adagunodo’s passage as “a sore loss, not only for the party but also Osun.”

In a condolence message signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke rued the loss of Adagunodo as painful, going by his contributions to the PDP in various roles.

“The late Adagunodo is a friend whom I supported to become the state Chairman of the PDP and who in turn, backed me to emerge as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“His death is a bitter loss and we will badly miss him. The news of his passing is devastating to me as a person.”

The Governor said the contributions of the the late chairman made a huge impact in Osun PDP, saying he would always celebrate the impacts he effected as the South West chairman of the PDP.

He said the loss of Adagunodo remain difficult to express in words, however, extending his condolences to his immediate family and everyone touched by his sudden demise.

“I share in the grief of his family and loved ones, recalling with fondness the good memory he shared with our great party as well as the impacts till his last moment on earth.

“It is our prayer that Almighty God be pleased with his soul and grant him eternal rest.

“We also pray for God to give his beloved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.” he said

The obituary of late Adagunodo was made on Tuesday by his son, Olasoji Jr. Adagunodo Oluwatukesi on behalf of the family.

In the obituary, Adagunodo was quoted to have died at the age of 62 on Monday in the United States of America, after a brief illness.

He was also said to have left  behind a wife, children and grandchildren with the burial arrangements to be announced later by the family.
