Osun Acting APC Chairman greets Christians during Xmas

The Acting Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, has rejoiced with the Christians across the state for being counted worthy by God Almighty to witness and celebrate this year’s Christmas.

Lawal who stated this in a press statement issued today in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, said it was a thing of joy for the Christians in the state to be active partakers in this year’s annual celebration of Christmas.

The state acting APC chairman enjoined the Christians to celebrate the event with moderation devoid of rancour and violence in order for them to celebrate many more of the events on earth.

He also appealled to the Christians to be Christ-like by extending a hand of fellowship to the less-privileged members of the society during the period.

Lawal stated further that the period should be one for sober reflection and genuine restitution for the Christians in order for them to attract divine favour in all ramifications.

He tasked the Christians of the APC extraction to pray for the party and its governorship candidate, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, to meet God’s favour in the ongoing governorship election petition tribunal in Osogbo  in the interest of the development of the state.

Lawal also enjoined the Christian members of the APC to remember to pray for the victoryy of all the party’s candidates in the February 2023 general elections.

In his words: “Let me use today’s event which signifies the birth of Jesus Christ to extend my greetings to the Christian members of our party in particular and all the Christians in the state in general.

“It is important for you to love your brothers and forgive them of any issue that you may be having against them in the same way that you are clamouring for Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins.

“It is also pertinent for the Christian members  and supporters of our party to continue to pray for God’s favour in our ongoing governorship election petition  tribunal in Osogbo”, Lawal canvassed.”
