Osun Accord party’s attack on Oyetola, a mere attention-seeking device

— Office of Osun APC Chairman

We were astonished by a non-constructive criticism and needless verbal attack on the Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration and the leadership of the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) about the House of Assembly and National Primary elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Osun State chapter of the Accord party which was published online yesterday.

We sympathise with the corporate author of the tirade, one Governor Akin Ogunbiyi for Governor Media Team, which obviously failed to credit it to any personal known entity possibly because of the known fallacious status of the said jaundiced statement.

The said Accord party’s statement that stated that the talk-and-act Governor Gboyega Oyetola ‘is not fit to rule’ simply because of a minor intra-party skirmishes within the Osun State APC over the party primaries is laughable.

The position of the Osun Accord party over the issue at stake  is a pointer to the fact that the handlers of the party are bereft of the knowledge of effective party administration.

We quite understand that the mission of the publication by the Accord party was nothing but a mere attention-seeking device which could only be achieved by its handlers by unconstructively criticising a political giant and corporate final engineer like Governor Oyetola.

The pack of the handlers of the relatively unknown Accord party in Osun State has forgotten that politics is about conflicts and conflict resolution and management.

It should be known to the Accord party jostling for relevance in Osun that it is not unusual to have diverse opinions in a congregation of a large crowd which can  attract attention of others.

How does this culminate in the inability of Governor Oyetola to govern Osun State as it was expressly stated by the jaundiced Accord party?

Does it not occur to the said Accord media handlers that the Osun State APC is an hyper-living political party which everyone who is somebody is struggling to have a stake in?

The media handlers of the Osun Accord party and their principal should know that the subsisting absolute serenity in their party can be likened to a metaphorical graveyard arrangement where there is no opportunity to jostle for.

As the governorship election is approaching, we shall welcome more of such needless tirades from the Accord party as it is only through such style that it can be known to the public that such an infamous and obscured party is existing in Osun State.

As for the verifiable performing state Governor Oyetola, he is neither distracted nor have a sleepless night over any non-issue of which its permanent abode is a dust bin of history.

It’s not an overstatement that the people of Osun State who are comfortable with the superlative achievements of Governor Oyetola in all the sectors of the economy are desirous to give him another chance in the July 16, 2022 governorship election.

The sophisticated Osun people can’t afford to entrust the affairs of the state to a non-tested political greenhorn whose intention is to make the state of Omoluabi a political laboratory.
