The Osun State Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, has congratulated the state Governor Gboyega Oyetola on the 30th anniversary celebration of the creation of the state, adding that the state is fortunate to have the governor who is not deviating from the vision and mission of its founding fathers at its inception.F

in a goodwill message issued by his Media Aide, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo, the state capital today, stated that the superlative achievements of Governor Oyetola since he assumed office have been adding monumental values to the state in all fronts.

The state APC chairman hinted that while the founding fathers who have joined the great majority would be turning in their graves with joy, those of them who are still alive would feel fulfilled with what God has been using the governor to achieve for the state.

The Igbajo-born Prince whose father, the late Owa of Igbajoland, Oba Adelani Famodun, was also one of the founding fathers of the state, disclosed that all the former governors and military administrators of the state had also contributed their quotas towards its development at different times.

Famodun who recalled the poor outlook of the state capital at the inception of the creation of the state 30 years ago remarked that the state is indeed developing at a very fast rate compared to some of its peers that were created at the same time.

In his words: “I, on behalf of my family and the members and leaders of the APC in Osun State, congratulate Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the entire people of the state on the 30th anniversary celebration of its creation.

“The state could be said to be a product of determination by its founding fathers among whom was my late father, the Owa of Igbajoland, Oba Adelani Famodun, who struggled and laboured assiduously and conscientiously to achieve the creation of the state.

“All the past civilian governors and their military counterparts also tried their best at various times in the history of the state to add their own quotas to its success story.

“The only honour we can bestow on the founding fathers of the state is for all and sundry to join hands with Governor Oyetola in his continued efforts to spread developmental projects to the nooks and crannies of the state.

“May God continue to guide the governor aright in his statutory duties of giving qualitative governance to the people of the state”, Famodun prayed.
