The political landscape of Osun State is witnessing a significant shift as Senator Babajide Omoworare continues to demonstrate leadership through tangible developmental strides. His recent rehabilitation of eleven township roads in Ile-Ife is a landmark achievement that underscores his commitment to grassroots development.

This initiative is more than just infrastructure; it is a catalyst for economic growth, social cohesion, and improved living standards. The rehabilitation of these roads has enhanced transportation within the ancient city, facilitating easier movement for traders, commuters, and businesses. By reducing travel time and improving access to essential services, the project is a strong testament to Senator Omoworare’s visionary leadership and dedication to the welfare of his people.

To mark the completion of the final phase of these projects, Senator Omoworare paid a visit to Akogun’s Palace, where he was warmly received by traditional rulers, political leaders, and community stakeholders. Among those in attendance were the Executive Chairman of Ife East, Hon. Chief Safiriyu Akinwale, and his Ife Ooye counterpart, Hon. Ganiyu Egbetunde, alongside their councilors. Their presence not only highlighted the significance of the occasion but also reinforced the widespread acknowledgment of the senator’s selfless contributions to the region.

During the event, Oba Muritala Adedoyin, the Owakogun Okwerewe of Ife, expressed profound gratitude and admiration for Senator Omoworare’s efforts. The revered traditional ruler emphasized that, despite not currently holding any political office, the senator had undertaken and completed these crucial road projects; an uncommon feat in contemporary politics.

According to Oba Adedoyin, this selfless act of leadership is a clear indication of Omoworare’s deep commitment to the people’s well-being.

Oba Muritala Adedoyin went further to declare that Senator Babajide Omoworare embodies the qualities of an ideal leader and would be an excellent governor if given the mandate in 2026.

This royal endorsement carries significant weight, as traditional institutions remain a crucial pillar in Osun State’s political and social structure.

The statement from the Owakogun Okwerewe of Ife is a reflection of the growing support for Omoworare’s leadership ambitions across various quarters.

Similarly, Baale Adegboyega Dauda Ayoola, the Baale of Oke-Eso/Ita-Agbon, Ile-Ife, also threw his weight behind Senator Omoworare.

He lamented the long-standing political neglect of Ile-Ife and stressed that Osun State desperately needs a visionary leader capable of revitalizing its economy.

According to the Baale, Omoworare has the competence and track record to attract investors, foster industrial growth, and create an environment of prosperity for all.

As the 2026 Osun gubernatorial election draws closer, Senator Babajide Omoworare’s developmental efforts are resonating with the people. His actions prove that leadership is not about occupying political office but about making a tangible impact on people’s lives.

With the increasing support of traditional rulers, political stakeholders, and the general populace, there is a growing sense of optimism that Osun State may be on the verge of a new era of progress under his leadership.

The completion of these eleven roads is just the beginning; an undeniable testament to the kind of governance Osun State can expect if Omoworare is entrusted with the people’s mandate in 2026.
