Dr.Ekpa noted that while some of the programs of the Ministry are cross-cutting with those of the National Centre, there is the need to harmonize such programs.

She encouraged the management staff of the Ministry to relate well with the National Centre for Women Develop.

She instructed the Directors of the Ministry to patronize the facilities at the National Centre to host their programs. She reminded officers of the need to take prompt actions on assignment given to them, in order not to delay government programs.

Dr. Ekpa beckoned on directors to mentor young officers so that the young officers would be in good stead to take over leadership when Directors bow out of service, adding that the young officers on the job today will grow to become the Permanent Secretaries in the very near future, hence the need to tutor them.

She further said that as a starting point, plans are at advance stages to assign some Ministry’s Directors to lecture others on relevant topics in the Public Service.
