Oriade/Obokun: House of Reps’ aspirant, Odofin, woos constituents
… Vows to serve wholeheartedly

AHouse of Representatives aspirant from Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency contesting under the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun state, Seun Odofin, has solicited the support of his constituents.
Odofin, who is the Special Adviser on Administration to the Rt. Hon. Speaker House of Representative, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, vowed not to let them down if considered for the position.
He made the disclosure on Thursday while expressing his intention to represent his Kinsmen at the constituency.
He said he would make the constituency a virile one through his wealth of experiences, while assuring them of open-door policy.
“I decided to serve my people wholeheartedly with all my strength, progressive dreams and auspicious life impacting programmes that would make the constituency more transformed from its present condition,” he asked.
Meanwhile, Nigerian NewsDirect reports that Odofin has championed empowerment initiatives in different communities in the constituency.
In the area of rural electrification, he provided three 500KVA transformers to Ifosan area in Ibokun, Orisunmibare area and Oloruntedo Yeyetutu Area both in Ijebu-Jesa.
He also trained 150 young farmers in conjunction with College of Agriculture, Fishery and Food Technology on various Agro Allied courses while also providing ljebu-Jesa, Iwoye ljesa, Iwaraja, Eesun, Idooko, llase and Otan lle in ljesa North Federal Constituency with solar powered boreholes.
Some of the other empowerment initiatives include, payment of WASSCE fees of 23 Secondary School students, provision of medical equipment to Tuberculosis Unit of Maternity centre in ljebu-Jesa, sponsorship of 150 students to study agriculture, Fishery, Food technology, crop production and animal husbandry at the College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food technology-CAFFTECH, co-sponsorship of Essay Competition to mark Nigeria’s 61st Independence anniversary, facilitation of COVID-19 NISRA Loans of N400,000.00 and N750,000.00 for 130 Ijesha North Federal Constituents, empowerment tools for tailors, artisans, market women, and Okada riders, among others.
