Orange house wins gold in Mega Care Private Schools’ maiden festival

Orange house have claimed golden trophy in the just concluded maiden edition of the Mega Care Private Schools’ Annual Inter-house and inter-schools festival held at Alagbado, Ogun state.

Though all the participating house competitors were rewarded for putting in their best and exhibiting sportsmanship through out the festival, the Orange house could not hide their glee as they beat others to sit atop.

Closely sitting behind were Lilac who came Second, Yellow and Blue Houses coming 3rd and 4th place respectively.

Meanwhile, the Lemon House could only muster up with the 6th place finish while Pink house settled for the last place.

The Publisher, and the Editor-in-Chief of Nigerian NewsDirect Newspaper, Prince (Dr) Samuel Ibiyemi who was also the chairman of the occasion kicked off the festival with admirable admonitions to all participating teams.

The rigorous and energy sapping competitions commenced with 500 meter with the six House competitors, the Blue, Lemon, Lilac, Pink, Orange and Yellow houses going for broke.

Several other sporting activities such as filling the basket, 100m race for junior and secondary schools, teachers’ race, parents’ race, exchanging baton race otherwise known as relay race, catching the school bus, egg race as well as other fascinating games soon greeted the festival.

Meanwhile, for the inter-school competition, Day break college, Gracious school, God Glorious, Ark of Covenant private schools and Ozone Academy slugged it out with each other in the 100m, 200m and the relay races.

Having shown their skills and dexterities on and off the pitch, participating students from junior and senior secondary schools were awarded with certificates of participation.
