OPMAN give FG 3-day ultimatum to compensate members on loss during EndSARs protest

The Nigerian Onions Producers and Marketers Association has given the federal government three days to compensate their members who suffered losses during the EndSARs protest and Shasha riots, or the country’s onion supply will be cut off.

The Association’s National President Aliyu Isa Umar, issued the ultimatum to newsmen in Sokoto. He claims that the government, through a commission formed by Kogi state governor Yahaya Hello, pledged to repay their members, many of whom lost a lot of money during the ENDSARS and Shasha crises in Abia, Imo, and Oyo states, but has yet to do so.

Mr. Umar said members of the Association are saddened by the fact that some persons were compensated, but nobody sees reason to remember their members.

According to him, the association through its mother body, the amalgamated union of food cattle sellers willingly  gives the federal government between Monday 7th of June and Friday 11th of June to communicated how their members will be compensated.
