Operation Zenda secures release of kidnapped victim in Benue

The Commander of Operation Zenda, a Security Joint Operation in Benue State, SP Felix Nomiyugh has revealed that his men secured the release of a kidnapped 50-year-old man in the State.

SP Nomiyugh also disclosed that the incident  took place during  the weekend in Tine-Nune, Zaki-Biam, the headquarters of Ukum local government area.

The Commander made the disclosure  when members of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), paid a familiarisation visit to the Operation Command in Makurdi, on Tuesday.

He explained that his men discovered the kidnapped victim in a state of coma when the abductors had abandoned him after sensing the presence of his men.

 He further explained  that the victim was later taken to the General Hospital, Zaki-Biam where life later returned to him after some medication.

The Commander enumerated several achievements recorded especially the release of many kidnapped victims in the State since he assumed office on November 1st, 2023,

He assured the people of the state of the Command’s resolve to fight  and eliminate crime.in its entirety in  the state.

“We are working hard to sensitise and re-orient our officers. We want to be polite and neat. I am ready to collaborate with the media for effective crime control and reduction,” he maintained.
