Oniba Ekun synergises with Yield Africa to provide free medical services in Iba community

In his usual humanitarian gesture and penchant for ameliorating the problems of the masses, the Oniba of Iba kingdom, HRM Oba (Dr.) Adeshina Sulaiman Raji-Ashade has in synergy with top Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Yield Africa Foundation, brought medical succour to  Iba community, Lagos, through one day free medical outreach for the elderly ones.

The one day free medical outreach which took place at the OnIba Palace  last week  Tuesday,  benefited about 150 people, with free drugs given and several eye glasses doled out to numbers of persons after medical examinations.

The joint medical renaissance  which was monitored by Nigeria Newsdirect was designed for the elderly ones and  facilitated by the Jafo Elites Foundation, chaired by Oba Adeshina, inconjuction with Yield Africa Foundation.

The renowned monarch who could not hide his excitement, appreciated the team, given the human and capital resources involved in the scheme, even as he revealed a new developmental horizon for the community.

Briefing Nigerian NewsDirect, the Monarch said: “I deeply appreciate the team for putting this awesome medical outreach together. I can only pray, that as they have chosen to showcase my  name and that of the Iba Kingdom, God in his infinite mercy will promote them.

“I am sincerely surprised, when I look at the dexterity, human and materials resources involved in this programme. I can’t but pray earnestly for them.

“We have done this today, and it’s now a history, but we are still going to do more.

We believe our active partnership with  government will birth a robust result, especially regarding education.

“I believe the government will soon attend to us, as I am keen on transforming Iba Kingdom to a mega city. I pray that God makes my good intention for this community come through,” he said.

The Director Yield Africa Foundation, Mr Tunde Martins, said the NGO is fulfilling one of its cardinal objectives, which is to ensure people are healthy in the Country.

He said, the turn out was quite impressive as people trooped out from nooks and cranies of Iba community to maximize the free medical treatment brought to their doorstep.

He advised the beneficiaries to maximize the privilege and ensure strict adherence to medical practioner’s prescriptions.

Earlier, the eight members medical team led by Dr. (Mrs) Ada Margaret Ayanyemi had taken the elderly one’s through a series of basic health tips and lecture that revolved round basic hygiene, the benefit of rest, eating healthy meal and total management of human system and Covid-19 awareness.

Expressing his immense gratitude to the  monarch and the organizer of the free medical treatment, one Mr Idowu, a beneficiary, described the programme as timely and needful for the elderly one’s and the community at large.

He eulogized the monarch for the initiative, and  described him as “one of end time prophets specifically sent to his people.”

Furthermore, the Co-ordinator, Jafo Elites Foundation, Nigeria, Hon. Ganiyu Adio Mutiu, affirmed that the free medical outreach is an off-shoot of the monarch’s unreserved benevolence to the masses.

He advised the beneficiaries of the medical services to maximize the privilege even as he prayed for God’s wisdom and strength on behalf of the King.
