One injured as truck, motorcycle crash in Osun

One person has been seriously injured while two others escaped unhurt in a road traffic accident that occurred along the Gbongan-Ibadan expressway on Wednesday night.

According to the information made available by the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the multiple road crash occurred at Olufi Market axis Gbongan township, a distance of six kilometres from the Sasa bridge.

The accident, which was attributed to overspeeding and loss of control, involved a red IVECO truck with registration number AGG107XK and an unregistered blue Jincheng AX100 motorcycle.

The Osun FRSC spokesperson, Agnes Ogungbemi, while chatting with DAILY POST, explained that the sole injured victim of the crash had been taken to a private hospital in Gbongan town for medical attention.

She also stated that personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, as at the time the crash was reported, had taken over the accident scene and taken possession of the crashed motorcycle and truck involved in the crash.
