The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ondo State chapter, says the death of Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the state was received with a deep sense of loss.
Akeredolu died on Wednesday at the age of 67 years at a German hospital.
Mr Leye Igbabo, Director of Media and Publicity, PDP, Ondo state, said this in a statement on Wednesday in Akure,
According to him, PDP received with deep sense of loss, the news of the death of Akeredolu which sad event occured in the early hours of today, Dec. 27, 2023.
“While it is a known fact that, any man born of a woman is of few days, the untimely departure of the governor is nonetheless, saddening and surely, leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
“Our party commiserates with the people of Ondo state on the demise of a governor who displayed courage when it mattered most. Ondo state has lost a man who did not pretend about his views on issues.
“We will no doubt, sorely miss the governor. We pray for the repose of his soul and God’s strength for the entire people of Ondo state to bear this unfortunate incident,” he said.
