The Special Adviser to Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Health, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, has commended staff of the Ondo State Contributory Health Commission (ODCHC) for their contributions to qualitative healthcare delivery.
Faduyile made the commendation on Friday in Akure, while addressing members and management of the commission during an official visit.
He expressed delight at the proper arrangement of the commission’s activities and various strategies adopted toward achieving its core mandate.
He appreciated the state government for providing for the commission a temporary office ahead of it expansion.
According to him, efforts are in top gear toward relocating the commission to its permanent site.
He assured of the state government’s support toward actualisation of its mandate and service delivery.
Speaking, Dr Abiodun Oyeneyin, Director-General, ODCHC, said that the commission, which started operations on June 24, 2019, would adhered to its core responsibility of providing health insurance to the people of the state.
Oyeneyin commended the state government for the construction of the commission’s permanent site which would be completed before the end of 2022.
He expressed optimism in the ability of the special adviser to perform in office, “in view of his track records and antecedents in public service.”
The director-general said that Akeredolu, had approved the implementation of the health insurance scheme for civil servants tagged, “Oranghis Health Insurance Scheme’’.
He urged officers of the commission to focus on its core mandate of healthcare services to achieve positive results.
