Senator Iyiola Omisore, a former deputy Governor of Osun State, on Wednesday commiserated with the widow of the departed Afenifere Publicity Secretary,Mr Yinka Odumakin, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin during a condolence visit at the couple Lagos home.
He was there along with Senators Tokunbo Afikuyomi and Opeyemi Bamidele. He expressed sorrow at his untimely departure while he also comforted the widow to brace up as this is the period the MAN in him, as Late Chief Gani Fawehinmi quoted her to be, must manifest strongly for the ideals that Yinka lived greater part of his life for to live on.
According to Senator Omisore, “Yinka was a vanguard and a symbol of struggle, he was dogged,he was a voice nobody could suppress. He lived to win for Nigeria to be a livable place for all and generations unborn.”
In conclusion, the Apesin Oodua comforted the widow, Dr Joe, that Comrade Yinka never lost the battle of life to death because during his lifetime, the dictatorial rule of the military he along with many others tirelessly fought against was brought to a triumphant end resulting in the longest civil rule the nation enjoys now, nevertheless the struggle continues.
