Olofin Of Isheri Awori, stakeholders meet over progress of Aworiland, as Monarch charges son, daughters on unity
The 20th Olofin of Isheri Awori, and the Adimula of the Awori kingdoms, HRM. Oba Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade and other stakeholders yesterday met to deliberate on the progress and development of Awori land.
The traditional ruler, who hosted the 2022 maiden edition of the Awori summit which aimed to bring the people of the ancient town together for a common goal, and to foster togetherness amongst the Obas, and chiefs of Awori land.
The monarch commended the sons and daughters of the Awori who have contributed towards the development of the land.
He charged the indigene of Awori to always be proud of their town and to be a good ambassador of the town anywhere they find themselves in part of the world.
The summit which was held on the 3rd of March recorded the presence of Honourable Jide Akinloye former member, house of representatives, Justice Abiodun Akinyemi, Professor Rasheed Ojikutu professor of statistics, University of Lagos, Khadija OKUNNU-LAMIDI CEO slice media, and presidential aspirant, Micheal Olawale-Cole LCCI president among others.
The entertainment was not excluded from the people of Isheri displaying their cultural practice popularly known as Oko-Aje (dancing with a boat, with besting of drums) and also a presentation from a musical band.
