Okomu Oil’s share gain 2% as foreign shareholder Socfina S.A purchases 443,654 shares

Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc, a Nigeria-based company engaged in cultivation of oil palm, processing of fresh fruit bunches into crude palm oil for resale, rubber plantation and processing of rubber lumps to rubber cake for export has reported share purchase by Socfina S.A, a substantial foreign shareholder involving 443,654 units which amounted to N35,358,844.

A notification signed by Chibuike Onwusoro, Company Secretary filed at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) said the first set of transactions involving 157,876 units at N79.77 per unit took place on 21 and 23 September, 2020 while the second set involving 285,778 units at N79.66 took place on 15, 16, 17 and 18th September 2020

Meanwhile the share price of Okomu Oil hit N80 mark on Tuesday with 2% appreciation from N78 per share. There were 32 transactions involving 757,080 shares valued at N60,516,531.70 at at 3.12PM Nigerian time.
