Ojuade hails Ooni at 50, commends his visionary leadership, contributions to Yoruba heritage

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Honourable Bukola Ojuade, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) CFR, on the momentous occasion of his 50th birthday.
This celebration marks not just the passage of time but also a monumental chapter in the history of the Yoruba race and Nigeria at large.
In a statement he personally signed, praised the Ooni’s exceptional leadership, emphasising that his reign has brought renewed vitality to the ancient city of Ile-Ife, the cradle of Yoruba civilization.
Since ascending the throne, Oba Ogunwusi has been a beacon of peace, cultural rejuvenation, and progressive development, inspiring both the young and the old to embrace unity and positive change.
Ojuade commended the Ooni for his steadfast commitment to promoting peace across Nigeria, transcending ethnic and religious divides.
He highlighted the monarch’s role as an ambassador of Yoruba heritage on the global stage, ensuring that the rich culture of the Yoruba people is appreciated and respected far beyond the shores of Nigeria.
The APC chieftain further acknowledged the Ooni’s invaluable contributions to socio-economic development in Osun State and beyond. Through his numerous initiatives, including youth empowerment programs and entrepreneurship schemes, Oba Ogunwusi has empowered countless individuals, helping to reduce unemployment and create sustainable livelihoods for many Nigerians.
He said, in addition to his leadership in the socio-economic sphere, Sooko Lawal pointed out Ooni’s efforts in revitalising traditional institutions, preserving cultural values, and fostering inter-ethnic cooperation.
The monarch’s proactive approach to diplomacy has not only strengthened bonds within Yorubaland but has also played a key role in maintaining national unity.
As the Ooni of Ife celebrates this milestone, Ojuade expressed his admiration for the monarch’s vision of a harmonious and prosperous society.
